About the tour
South Glacier Pioneers Itinerary
The tour begins at 9:30 AM when we pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate and begin the journey along the old "ranch route" towards Lake Roca, within the Los Glaciares National Park, 60 km from El Calafate.

We will take a walk around the old ranch house, participate in sheep shearing and herding activities, and witness a demonstration of Creole skills performed by gauchos.
Lunch at the ranch's barbecue area
We will enjoy lunch in the ranch's barbecue area, with a menu that includes spit-roasted lamb, a salad bar, dessert, and drinks.
Transfer to the port and trekking
Sailing to Playa de las Monedas with views of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Then we will take a 40-minute trek through the Lenga Forest to the viewpoint overlooking the south face of Perito Moreno.
Second voyage along the south face of the Glacier
Sailing in front of the south face of the glacier, with a glass of whiskey with ice from the glacier.
Landing at the port of Bajo de las Sombras
Transfer by vehicle to the Perito Moreno walkways and tour of the walkways for two hours.
